088H4-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)088H4 - Allgemeine SS enlisted man's visor hat with original box! Absolutely stunning and impossible to upgrade (unless with a comparable officer's - good luck). This hat is simply described as perfect but I can't let my description end before it begins. This stunning hat features a matched set of rare and evenly patinaed Deschler eagle and skull. The black ribbed wool twill is well….black and perfect. The white crown and capband piping is again - perfect. The original chinstrap is….yes tight and in perfect condition. The hat maintains perfect shape. The interior features officer quality cream colored artificial silk. The tissue paper stuffing is still intact. The sweat diamond has the embossed, encircled gold SS runes and SS RZM tag stitched under the complete celluloid diamond. The size 54 is also stamped under the diamond above the runes. The artificial leather sweatband is complete. Under the band is the RZM stitched tag. On the underside of the checkerboard visor is the expected SS RZM stamp. The box is slightly ovoid tan cardboard with alternating black and tan piping design running along the top edge with a black border on either side. On one end of the box is the size label that reads 54. This is a world-class offering in its own right by the increasing rarity and unsurpassable condition of this hat. $10,995. More Photos
087H2-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)087H2 - Allgemeine SS officer's private purchase visor hat. This beautiful example displays well. The exterior features a silver washed SS M36 eagle and totenkopf set. The silver aluminum cords are tight to the capband. The plush velvet band is in pefect condition. The high quality black wool upper hat body is also in perfect condition having no mothing or stains. The white piping shows normal age and no mothing as is common on these hats. The visor shows normal age crazing. The interior features a ribbed artificial silk lining. The rhomboid sweatshield is no longer present. Under the leather sweatband the original cork is present and intact at the front. The interior shows normal and regular use. This hat is unquestionable and an excellent period example. $16,500. More Photos
088H1-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)088H1 - Waffen SS Dachau panzer enlisted men M43. This hat is a textbook late war Dachau manufactured panzer M43 with the cardboard on the underside of the visor. The hat features standard M43 construction with a black SS panzer trapezoid machine sewn insignia. The interior features medium gray herringbone twill cotton lining marked size 55. The hat shows mild wear along the bottom edge as evidenced by light sweatstaining. There is also a hand-stitched repair at the rear seam that appears period done. Why do I think so? Because along the exterior (outside) of the repaired area, black thread is evident. Whereas on the inside, gray thread was used. The cap looks great on a headstand. There is no moth damage. Rare to find these today. $2999. More Photos
087H3-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)087H3 - Allgemeine SS officer's visor hat with RZM tag. This example features standard Allgemeine totenkopf and adler. The hat's body features a standard black plush wool upper body and black velvet band. The white piping shows normal age with light discoloration with an occasional moth nip. This does not detract from the hat's rarity and overall appearance. It displays well. The interior show heavy use. The interior is lined with black polished cotton. The rhomboid sweatshield is lacking. The brown leather sweatband shows a number of separations in the leather. Under the sweatband at the rear is the original RZM tag. The hat shows honest wear but most importantly it's authentic. $$9250. More Photos
087H7-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)086H7 - Waffen SS officer's visor (schirmutze) hat. This beautiful hat features a matching skull and eagle set. The field gray officer quality material is in excellent condition with no apparent mothing or stains. The white piping worn by all ranks up to Oberfuhrer. Oberfuhrer and up wore aluminum piping. The hat has thick black velvet capband. The vulcanfiber visor is in excellent shape showing its wear on the cream colored checkboard underside. The interior features the generic gold artificial silk, rayon lining most often seen in Waffen SS officers visors. The rhomboid shaped, celluloid sweatshield is missing. This is also very common for these hats. The lining is fully intact and shows light normal age and wear. The leather sweatband shows age and wear. There are two splits in the leather but these do not detract from the appearance and significance of this hat. Very desirable! $11,995. More Photos
086H9-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)086H9 - Dutch SS enlisted visor hat with "Wolfsangle" insignia. The Dutch SS was stockpiling Allgemeine SS uniforms in 1940 about the same time as the German SS stopped wearing theirs. It is speculated that after the German Allgemeine stopped wearing their black service uniforms they were shipped to countries such as Holland and Norway for their fledgling SS units to wear. This hat features the Wolfsangle worn by the Dutch SS units with their service uniforms. The hat's body has been tacked-down at the sides to give the hat a more "rakish" appearance. The upper body has no mothing, exterior tears or stains. There is one area along the white crown piping at the front peak that shows wear. The interior shows heavy use. The orange oilcloth lining standard for Allgemeine enlisted visor shows honest age and wear. The celluloid sweatshield is cracked and has tears. The size stamp indicates 57 - a normal size. There is a large tear in the lining at the front showing the inner padding material. The age darkened leather sweatband is fully intact. The visor shows stitching that indicates areas of repair. Behind the lining is the RZM oilcloth tag. This hat is very rare to find with the "Wolfsangle". $6250. More Photos
086H10-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)086H10 - Waffen SS maroon fez for walking out dress. This fez was worn by the Handshar and Kama Divisions. This Dachau made fez is mint. The fez features the standard machine sewn eagle and skull. The tassels are fully intact. The fez's body shows no damage. The interior has a wide cream colored leather sweatband. Impossible to upgrade. $1399. More Photos
083H1-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)083H1 - SS M43 cap for enlisted man. It's mint. You will not find a better conditioned SS M43 em than this hat. This cap is made of a heavy wool'rayon blend not unlike the material used for the uniforms. This cap features a machine sewn front trapezoid with the eagle and totenkopf combination. The two field gray front closure buttons are perfect. On the underside of the side earflaps is the length of rayon cloth used to pass through either end of the cap's ear flaps when pulled down for warmth. The interior is lined with gray hbt artificial silk. It is size stamped 58 ( a medium size). This cap cannot be upgraded. $3,000. More Photos
065H1-1small.jpg (43019 bytes)065H1 - SS enlisted /NCO M-43 visored field. This cap features the Italian gabardine material often seen in these caps after the SS shipped huge quantities to Germany after the Italians gave up on their part of the war effort. The SS made large use of the fabric in caps and uniforms. This cap has machine applied SS trapezoid insignia. The hat has great shape. The exterior is in overall excellent condition showing minor wear but no abuse. The interior is made of hbt rayon and does show sweat staining (it gives it character). There are two stamp marks. The size 57 and M-43. There are no tears or separations. Overall this cap is in excellent condition. Authentic SS headgear is getting near impossible. $ 3750. More Photos
