088H3-1small.jpg (39198 bytes)088H3 - Kriegsmarine enlisted man's overseas cap with name tag. It's almost rare to find these caps showing mild wear and with an original name tag present. The cap features the standard heavy navy blue wool. The hand sewn insignia has a nice and even age toning. There are two very minor moth nips present along the bottom edge of the left-facing side. These do not detract from the overall display of the cap. The interior is lined with the standard black cotton usually seen in these caps. The interior is stamped with the manufacture's name that is partially covered with the name tag that reads, "Johannson".The interior shows light and even wear. $350.     More Photos    SOLD
0712H3-1small.jpg (39198 bytes)0712H3 - Kriegsmarine field gray overseas cap by Clemens Wagner. This cap is cut in the army style featuring a front scallop. The cap has a neatly applied handsewn eagle and cockade. There is a shadow outline where a KM yellow soutache once had beem. There are remnant threads of the soutache under the scallop. There are two side air grommets that are interestingly blocked by the gray/brown cotton lining. Also of interest is the use of two colors cotton lining. One of the top sections is stamped with the trademark oval of Clemens Wagner. It is dated Aug. 39 and size 55. The cap shows light wear and minor mothing along the top folds. One of the side scallop, where the front dips has been tacked down to enhance the cap's shape. The stitch securing the scallop on the other side has come free. The interior shows light wear. Being this is in the "Army cut' style and an earlier cap it is more rare than the more commonly seen full bordmutze. $350.     More Photos
