On a sale-by-sale basis we can discuss layaway. If we agree to Layaway, I will require ¼ to 1/3 the asking price as a down payment and the total payment must be received within the negotiated timeframe. If full payment is not received within the agreed timeframe the sale will be considered to be in default and deposits will be forfeited after the agreed-on date unless further arrangements have been made.Shipping/Handling Costs
The purchaser will be responsible for the cost of shipping/handling. Oakleaf ships most orders, domestic and international, via United States Postal Service with signature required for delivery. I will advise you of the total cost including shipping and handling at the time of purchase. Orders with value of $1,000. and over will automatically be shipped via USPS Express Mail in order to ensure speed of service and provide the buyer with tracking information.Return Policy
Oakleaf Militaria, Inc. makes every effort to present authentic pre-1945 militaria for sale to the collecting community. Effective February 10, 2009 all items sold by Oakleaf Militaria, Inc. will carry a limited 60 days limited warranty for return privileges. Oakleaf offers an initial 10 day inspection and return period. After 10 days the purchaser must demonstrate with a valid reason why there is a request to return the purchase. After 60 days from the date of purchase, all sales are deemed to be complete and final. All returned items must be in the same condition as sent without alteration, cleaning, dis-assembly, etc. All returned purchases must be received within the allotted time period. Items received after the allotted 10 days time period with be subject to refusal of refund unless it is clearly demonstrated as being post-1945 for up to 60 days following the date of original purchase. Opinions do not constitute a legitimate reason for returning an item.Sales Tax
Oakleaf Militaria, Inc. is a retail corporation. As such, Oakleaf is responsible for the collection and payment of all applicable state sales taxes. Illinois residents please add 8 1/2 % to the purchase price.. Because Oakleaf Militaria attends shows as a registered vendor, state sales taxes are required to be collected at the shows.International Orders
Oakleaf Militaria will make every effort to ensure that your order will arrive in the condition it was sent. Oakleaf requests that any instructions you have for foreign customs declaration be given at the time of purchase. Oakleaf assumes no responsibility for any delay or loss due to foreign customs policies including seizure. The buyer will also be responsible for all import and export customs and duty charges.Dispute Settlement
Purchaser agrees and acknowledges that the courts of the State of Illinois shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from a purchase or intended purchase and that buyer agrees that this dispute will be litigated exclusively in the courts of the State of Illinois and not elsewhere, regardless of any party's current or future residence . In the event the court finds in favor of Oakleaf Militaria, Inc., the buyer agrees to pay all legal costs incurred by Oakleaf Militaria, Inc.
