The brocade was worn by officers as the Polizei came under the direct authority of the SS. The brocade has a field gray cotton lined interior. The aluminum buckle features the standard Polizei officer's circular front. The reverse is marked DRGM followed by the RZM mark 257/41 with the encircled SS runes. The reverse of the buckle is marked "oLc" for Overhof & Cie Ludenschied, one of the most prolific manufactures of belt buckles during the Third Reich period.
